I just not might make it for this round, as Im going up north-west coast (250kms) to listen to John Fogerty´s concert. If DJ drives back, i wont make it, but if im off the bottle and driving, I should make it.  ........... place your bets!  |

I'll hopefully be there. Depends on my daughter. The wife's out. I've just tried the track and been pleasantly surprised by the grip - I was expecting it to be attrocious in these cars but it's good fun. I'm probably just not driving it fast enough though  See you soon Jon |

Final race was a bit of a damp squib as there were only 4 runners, but it was a good challenge to avoid any spins on a tough track. Usual story for me - did some good laps in quali, couldn't really reproduce the times in the race but did a consistent run from lights to flag. Enjoyed the 1 hour endurance format but I hope we can return to classic cars in future series, the modern stuff is a bit boring IMHO. Thanks again to the admins for another fun series! |

The track still hadn't come to me by qualifying so I sat out much of it and waited for the race. Race was better - ran Andrew close for the first handful of laps but then my telephone call came and had to park. A minute plus lost and my 'race' was pretty pointless after that. Ignored everything else and just concentrated on hammering the car. Plenty of spins and half spins but I'd found some reasonable pace by the end. It was a nice opportunity to try these cars for this series. For me the grip can still vary too much between the ridiculous and the sublime. Suzuka was much the later and to be honest the EE was wonderful to drive around there. Looking forward to joining you for the F1 71s. Those should be more my cup of tea. Saying that - being a racing whore I'll drive anything  See you in a few weeks - and thanks for hosting btw I've put a mention of the 71 series in a couple of my other hangouts - hope you don't mind. Can't guarantee any takers of course Jon |

Fogerty was an hour late, so got home past 01:00 am. But hey! Finlands president was in the audience with us. Jon - no worries, a few more drivers would be more than welcome. |

I got home too late to race, sorry to hear numbers were so low.
Well that's the modern stuff out the way.
Bring on the fantastic F1 71 cars.
If anyone thinks that they wont like them remember Jouni doesn't normally
do open wheelers with wings and he is having fun with these.
Lets get big grids for the great Mod.
